DATA PROTECTION LINKEDIN
Social networks (social media)
We maintain an online presence in social networks and process user data in this context in order to communicate with active users there or to provide information about us. We would like to point out that user data may be processed outside the EU. This may result in risks for users as it could, for example, be more difficult to enforce users’ rights. Furthermore, user data within social networks are generally processed for market research and advertising purposes. For example, usage profiles can be created based on the usage behaviour and the resulting interests of users. The usage profiles can in turn be used to, for example, display ads within and outside the networks that supposedly correspond to the users’ interests. For these purposes, cookies are usually stored on users' computers, in which the usage behaviour and interests of users are recorded. In addition, data may also be stored in usage profiles regardless of the devices used by the users (in particular when users are members of the respective platforms and are logged in to them).
For a detailed description of the respective forms of processing and the possibilities of opposition (opt-out), we refer to the data protection declarations and information of the operators of the respective networks. We would also like to point out that enquiries and the exercise of rights of the data subjects can be made most effectively with the providers. Only the providers have access to user data and can take appropriate action and provide information directly. If you nevertheless need help, you can of course contact us.

LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company is the sole controller of the processing of personal data when you visit our LinkedIn company page. You can find further information on the processing of personal data by LinkedIn in the company’s privacy policy.
When you visit, follow or engage with our LinkedIn company page, LinkedIn processes personal data in order to provide us with statistics and insights in an anonymised form. This provides us with insights into the types of actions people take on our page (known as page insights). For this purpose, LinkedIn in particular processes data which you have already provided LinkedIn with via the information in your profile, such as data on function, country, industry, seniority, company size and employment status. In addition, LinkedIn will process information on how you interact with our LinkedIn company page, e.g. whether you are a follower of our LinkedIn company page. With Page Insights, LinkedIn does not provide us with any personal data about you. We only have access to the aggregated Page Insights. It is also not possible for us to draw conclusions about individual members using the information from the Page Insights.
This processing of personal data in the context of Page Insights is carried out by LinkedIn and us as joint controllers. The processing serves our legitimate interest to evaluate the types of actions taken on our LinkedIn company page and to improve our company page based on these insights. The legal basis for this processing is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We have entered into a joint controller agreement with LinkedIn, which sets out the distribution of data protection obligations between us and LinkedIn. The agreement is available at https://legal.linkedin.com/pages-joint-controller-addendum.
Thereafter, the following applies: LinkedIn and we have agreed that LinkedIn is responsible for enabling you to exercise your rights under the GDPR. LinkedIn Insight-Tag
We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag of LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland (“LinkedIn”) on our website. We have implemented a code for this on our website. The LinkedIn Insight Tag is an excerpt from JavaScript code that loads a collection of functions that LinkedIn can use to track your user actions, provided you came to our website via LinkedIn ads. For example, when you purchase a product on our website, the LinkedIn Insight Tag is triggered and stores your actions on our website in one or more cookies. By calling up this pixel from your browser, LinkedIn can recognise whether a LinkedIn ad was successful, for example whether it has led to an online purchase.
The tag transmits to LinkedIn what actions you have taken on our website as well as data that may identify you. With the data, LinkedIn can, for example, recognise that you have visited our website and what you clicked on or if you clicked on a link on LinkedIn that connects you to our website. This allows LinkedIn to show you interest-based content, link this data to your user account and use it for its own purposes.
We do not receive any data about you or other users from LinkedIn, but only statistics that show us, aggregated for all users in a certain period, how they have used our offers and ads on LinkedIn. This helps us to analyse which of our ads were successful.
We only want to show our services and products to people who are really interested in them. With the help of LinkedIn Insight Tag our advertising measures can be better tailored to your wishes and interests. In this way, LinkedIn users see suitable advertising (provided they have allowed personalised advertising). LinkedIn uses the collected data for analysis purposes and its own advertisements. You can find more information on the processing of your data by LinkedIn in its privacy polic.
